Linda's community projects

Easy Yoga for Elders

Linda works in community centers, housing projects and Assisted living centers to enrich the lives of elders. Participants in Easy Yoga for Elders learn how yoga can enrich their lives and enliven their bodies and minds. Linda teaches how practice yoga sitting in a chair or standing. Elders never have to get down on the floor to use a mat. All exercises are designed specifically for people with limited mobility.

Awakening Your Inner Artist

Adults and children all have the urge to paint and draw, but don't often have the opportunity to do so. Creativity is a natural urge, and Linda can help people to access their inner artist through the act of painting and drawing. It's easy to awaken an artist that has gone to sleep. All that is necessary is to have some paints, brushes, crayons and paper, and the inner artist comes alive!

Exploring creativity with Beading

What could be more fun or more satisfying than creating your own necklace, bracelet or earring from glass beads, shells and other colorful materials? This one session class introduces you to beading and provides all the materials to make your own jewelry. We use special thread for beading onto which we string tiny seed beads, glass beads, bone and iridescent beads.

Exploring Creativity Using Watercolor

Everyone loves painting because everyone enjoys color. Watercolor painting has a magic of its own but some folks think it is difficult to use. When people learn to express themselves freely with watercolors the results are beautiful and exciting. We use big brushes and loads of bright primary and secondary colors. In this series of classes participants will learn to mix colors, as well as learn several different watercolor techniques including resist, wash and wet on wet.
