Giclee prints
What is a giclee print?
A giclee print is a fine art reproduction of an original artwork. The original painting is first scanned at a very high resolution and becomes a digital file. This image is then "sprayed" out by an excellent ink jet printer to produce a very realistic duplication of the original work of art. This image may be printed on canvas, or fine watercolor paper. The inks and paper used for giclee prints are fine, archival, museum quality materials, and are fade resistent and a brilliant reproduction of the original art work.
Linda Novick's giclee prints are usually printed on beautiful watercolor paper, but sometimes on canvas when requested. Linda's original watercolors translate especially well onto watercolor paper because it's impossible to tell the difference between the original and the giclee print. Below are a few examples of some giclee prints that are available for purchase.
